Last week along with many other slightly crazy people I spent my morning attempting to get onto the H&M website to get an item from the Marni for H&M collection. Luckily I was in the comfort of my own home unlike the thousands of people who queued outside the selected shops to stock it!
The reason I did this isn't because I am a massive fan of Marni (it's so expensive, I can't afford to be a fan!) For the first time ever I am looking at fashion as an investment and I wasn't the only one- Pieces from the collection were appearing on Ebay within an hour of going on sale! Originally I was looking at the tshirt and collar to buy (pictured above) but sadly everything sold out so quickly I went for my next choice of these earrings -
Ill be putting these away for a few years and who knows maybe i'll make a return in the future! In 'Shopping for Vintage' by Funmi Odulate there is a section on Vintage Going Forward. This gives tips on collecting clothes today which could prove to be a worth while investment for the future.
